My Lover’s Eye Rings are made to keep a loved one close. Each ring contains a miniature watercolour painting of an eye commissioned by you upon ordering. Whether commissioning your own eye or someone else’s, to give or to keep, we can discuss exactly what is right for you.
Lover’s Eye miniatures first became popular in the late 1700s and were originally given in secret as a way of keeping a (literal!) eye on lovers. Later they were used as love tokens and eventually they became Memento Mori. What your Lover’s Eye means is yours to decide…The hand crafted rings are cast in Gold using the lost wax technique and the hand painted miniatures, set behind crystals, are rendered in the light, feathery brush strokes that the original miniaturists used. I am also delighted to offer the option of adding a sparkling diamond tear to the corner of your Lover’s Eye. Additionally, you can engrave your ring with a short message or name. They are available in 18ct Gold plated Sterling Silver, 9ct solid Gold & 18ct solid Gold; made in my London studio before hallmarking & engraving.
Finding your ring size can be done in several ways.
Ring sizing forms can be found on each ring’s order page.
